This bundle contains functions to help generate OAuth 1.0 access tokens for your application's users.

  • Setup Instructions

    • To use the Choreos in this bundle:

      • You'll need the ConsumerKey and ConsumerSecret for the service that you wish to use.
      • When registering your app with a particular service, you'll need to specify the Callback URL (AKA the Redirect URL) that is associated with your Temboo account:
      https://{Your Temboo Account Name}.temboolive.com/callback/
      • Determine the URLs for the Authorization Server for the service you are using. With OAuth 1.0, the following URLs will need to be specified:
        1. The Request Token Endpoint URL: this is used in the first request to initiate the OAuth process, and needs to be specified in the InitializeOAuth step.
        2. The Authorization Endpoint URL: this is the URL that your user needs to go to in order to login to the service, and grant access to the protected resource. This URL needs to be specified in the InitializeOAuth step.
        3. The Access Token Endpoint URL: this is the URL that is used in the final request to exchange temporary tokens for the Access Token and Access Token Secret that can be used to access the protected resource. This URL needs to be specified in the FinalizeOAuth step.
      • Run the InitializeOAuth Choreo, specifying the ConsumerKey and ConsumerSecret for the app you have registered with a particular service. The InitializeOAuth Choreo will return an authorization URL, a callback ID (required for the FinalizeOAuth step), and an oauth token secret (also required for the FinalizeOAuth step).
      • Open a new tab, navigate to the authorization URL returned by the InitializeOAuth Choreo, and click "allow" to grant the app access to your account.
      • Run the FinalizeOAuth Choreo, specifying the callback ID and OAuth token secret returned earlier by the InitializeOAuth Choreo, to obtain an OAuth access token and token secret that can be used to access the API.
